The Begging

 Hello,

My name is Jeannette, and I am free.

I have many freedoms.

I have the freedom to worship God, pray, and go to church without harassment.

I have the freedom to get a safe job and to volunteer with organizations I believe in.

I have the freedom of speech, to make my opinions known.

I also have the freedom to choose my relationships.

But many people throughout the world do not have these freedoms, and one of the most insidious and horrendous of freedoms being broken today is the freedom to choose relationships.

I, of course, am talking about the sex trade.

Many girls, and even some boys, are lied to or coursed into selling their bodies to satisfy some man’s lustful desires, and they do not have the freedom to say no.

Often times they are targeted because of vulnerabilities because they come from improvised homes, or they are women in a country that does not value or protect them as women. Often times they are given promises of better jobs, only to find themselves in a brothel being forced to do unspeakable acts.

This MUST stop!

There are many noteworthy agencies and advocacy groups that are doing wonderful work to rescue women and girls from this enslavement, and this blog is created to support and advocate for the work of one of these noteworthy agencys, Destiny Rescue.

Destiny Rescue is a wonderful agency that rescues underage girls from the beast of the sex slave by covert ops, where they enter brothels or bars and individuality locate girls in need of rescue, border hotspots with trained workers on the borders spotting girls about to be trafficked, and also working with local governments in raids and taking out these precocious women and children from their captors.

I am doing my part, by my 100 Days for Freedom IN ONE Dress challenge!

My reasoning is simple.

I wear 100 days in a single dress, to bring awareness that many women throughout the world do not have the blessing of wearing multiple outfits throughout the day or having a closet for clothes. Instead, they may have only one or two pieces of clothing to wear.

Secondly, I like the challenge of wearing the same dress for 100 days and making it look like a different outfit each day by adding accessories like jackets, scarves, and jewelry.

By the end of the 100 Days, I hope to raise $500 for Destiny Recuse, but if I don’t raise the money in 100 days, do not worry, I will keep wearing a dress until my goal is reached.

I hope you join me in supporting rescues and working to bring the sin of sex trafficking to a close.
